It’s important when handling any type of chemical, especially in a workplace environment to know how to handle it safely. Safety Data Sheets (or SDSs) are prepared for employers to promote occupational safety and health while using consumer products in a workplace environment. SDSs are required by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and provide information on products such as the properties of each chemical and the physical, human, and environmental health hazards.
Safety Data Sheets also include safety precautions for handling, storing, disposing of, and transporting the product.
